About

This page is dedicated to the project of Building an Electric Go-Kart, making it competitive and creating a grand prix championship around it.

Why: Because people love motorsports and as karting being the birthplace of so many great stars it is highly unlikely to go away anytime soon. I also love motorsport, I also however love this planet and as 2-stroke internal combustion engines that are the most common motor on karts also happens to be the most polluting engines in the world, I wanted to do something about it.

How: As stated earlier I wanted to create a competitive kart comparable to a 125cc powerd kart with approx 28 hp (21 kW) that is the most popular class in the world today (according to what I’ve read). This I hope to accomplish but combining the latest in technology for Batteries, Motors, Chassis and controllers still trying my best to keep the price to a minimum. When the building phase is over I hope to prove to the karting world that with the same money, less effort you can continue racing at the same speed (hopefully faster) and at the same time not destroy the planet.

When: Still to be decided, as I am now just starting this up and my connections within the karting world is next to none, as well as my funding this surly will take a while but this website will be a start and I hope to aquire some sponsors along the way.

Who: The man behind this project would be me Peter Tellgren, and maybe a bit full of my self that is also the name of the company I later hope to form around this venture, Tellgren Racing. I hope for all who read this and find it an interesting project write me a mail and I promise to answer as many as I have time with.

Best Regards, Peter Tellgren
